We live in fast times and would probably all like more peace and calm in our daily lives.  Today our modern and hectic lifestyles provide varied and interesting work together with a wide range of leisure activities, but there is a hidden price to pay.  You may even have a fulfilling career and active social life, but for some reason unhealthy tensions can lie just beneath the surface.  Looking deeper may reveal stress, tiredness, and a sense, which cannot easily be put into words, that all is not quite right with your life.

For thousands of years meditation has been and essential part of life for many people from a variety of cultures.  Considered one of the most important of asian wellness techniques and practices, it’s an invaluable tool for emotional balance, physical and mental health and peace of mind.

The benefits of a consistent meditation practice are well established and have been recognized by the latest medical science. Stress reduction, a less cluttered mind, improved focus and awareness, better immune function, more restful sleep, and insight into the habits that are limiting the realization of your true potential are just a few of these benefits that can dramatically change your life and wellbeing.  One of the most profound benefits of a meditation practice is the enrichment of your life and your relationships.

This Six week course offers a comprehensive and progressive combination of study and practice, individual and group interaction, and personal guidance that will provide a strong foundation to experience the profound change that meditation practice offers.

This program provides instruction in the basic techniques and theory for beginning your meditation practice. You will explore and learn how to activate the relaxation response, develop concentration and to experience inner peace.

  • Nature of the mind
  • Mind/Body Interactions
  • Obstacles to meditation
  • How to establish a practice
  • mindfulness practices and stress management skills
  • mindful self compassion practices
  • and much, much more.

Students will meet once per week on Thursday evenings.

Class size will be limited to a small group of students to enhance and focus on quality instruction.

  • wear loose and comfortable clothing.
  • bring a binder or notebook for taking notes
  • meditation benches will be provided but you can bring your own if you have one.
